Susana Berrocal Reyes
Local identity
Su, our cultural guardian, preserves a part of Patagonia's history. Born and raised in Puerto Río Tranquilo, Susana perfectly understands what it means to live in Patagonia... its climate, distances, and traditions. Before the Austral Highway existed, the towns around Lake Chelenko were connected by barge navigation, and communication was very limited.
Susana has witnessed how life in Patagonia has changed since the highway's arrival, bringing people from all over the world to visit places that have always been a part of her life.
A passionated and talented baker, she has also worked as a tour guide in several destinations around Lake Chelenko.
Now at Trófica, Susana is embarking on a new adventure in tourism, aiming to share what has made her who she is... her history and culture. She passionately and warmly tells these stories so that those who leave Patagonia take with them not only its landscapes but also its rich cultural heritage.
