Eliot Paredes Valdebenito

Geology

Eliot is a passionate geologist and rock enthusiast. During his final years in university, he taught as a teaching assistant in Petrology and Optical Mineralogy labs. Interestingly, Eliot is also a bartender, and this unique blend of expertise has allowed him to understand the world of bars in a more scientific way, which has enhanced his customer service skills and his ability to create enjoyable experiences for people.

His passion for magmatism and tectonics has given him a sharp perception of geological phenomena, which he understands through the basic principles of chemistry, physics, energy, and time. This enables Eliot to be highly effective when explaining geological topics, as he often uses everyday elements to make his explanations more relatable.

Eliot has also participated in research related to Patagonian magmatism, which makes living at latitude 46°S particularly appealing to him. He founded Trófica to work as a field geologist, living in situ in a fascinating place for research. Combining this with tourism is the perfect way to conduct investigations while also teaching and sharing his knowledge with those curious about mountains and nature.
